Aversa

The vineyards in the province of Aversa in Campania create a breathtaking view, unique view, which one would not find anywhere else. Grapevines entwine poplar trunks, to the incredible height of approx. 14 meters. In this way, a dense row of greenery is created, stuck with bunches of grapes. Needless to say, that growers must demonstrate truly acrobatic skills during the harvest.

However, this is not the only feature, which makes, that Asprinio di Aversa is special and unrepeatable. Italian writer Mario Soldati, who he called Asprinio "great, a little wine ”describes them thus: “There is no other white wine like this in the world, which would be as absolutely dry as Asprinio. None of the wines can compare with him in this regard. It is even hard to imagine this unique taste, before trying this wine.”

The Asprinio variety is grown exclusively in the Aversa area. It gives a light and crisp wine, which best reveals all its qualities in the sparkling version. The wine is elegant and has a unique flavor.

Production area, including 22 municipalities in the provinces of Caserta and Naples, it is rather limited. Due to the cultivation method used, the vine yield is low. In practice, this means that it is not possible to adjust the production volume to the market demand. So Asprinio di Aversa remains the wine mainly for connoisseurs.
