Chemically treated seeds should not be germinated. According to information from the Ministry of Agriculture, seeds sold in seed shops are not treated with chemicals, I guess, that they are imported seeds - then the information is always on the packaging.

Damaged seeds should not be germinated, cracked. Before germination begins, it is good to inspect the seeds and, if necessary, sort them.
