Bianco dell Empolese
WHITE OF EMPOLESE (DOC)
Bianco dell Empolese wine is made in the Tuscan vineyards of Empoli, Cerreto Guidi, Fucecchio, Vinci, Montelupo Fiorentino, Capraia and Limite, which extend along the Arno River. This Tuscan white wine has only recently acquired the right to use the DOC appeal, although wine-making traditions in this area are very rich. This is evidenced, inter alia, by the fact, that the wines from the village of Cerreto Guidi, in which the Medici built one of their most beautiful residences and the wines from Vinci have been highly valued in Florence for centuries.
W 1989 year by the efforts of small and medium-sized winemakers, who have worked hard to continuously improve the quality of their products have been crowned with the establishment of the DOC Appeal. Since then, the number of wine producers has continued to increase, who choose to produce wine to DOC specifications.
