Emiglia-Romania is a place full of contradictions and contrasts. Here, next to craftsmanship and refinement, trash and triviality become equivalent values.
This dichotomy, which is expressed in all spheres of life, has also affected the production of wine: in the region of Emiglia-Romania the simplest, weak wines, which can be drunk like water, coexist with the most refined types of wines, which are more suitable for meditation and contemplation than for feasting. The latter category undoubtedly includes Albany white dessert wines.
In such realities, based on ubiquitous contrast, in recent years, much attention has been paid to the quality of wine in a small wine region, located in the upland areas between the villages of Forli 'and Cesena. In the local vineyards, next to traditional grape varieties, jak Sangiovese i Trebbiano Romagnolo, The cultivation of the noblest varieties, such as Chardonnay or Cabernet Sauvignon, was started. The success turned out to be so great and it came in such a short time, that this small area immediately caught the attention of experts, which soon translated into excellent results in the commercial field as well.
W 2001 year, the DOC appeal was established, becoming the natural crowning achievement of the efforts of a small group of producers, who were able to skillfully combine traditions passed down from generation to generation with modernity.
