Tea

Tea has a very long tradition. This drink was drunk as early as the 3rd century BCE., maybe even earlier. However, there is no exact information on this. Tea infusion was originally used as a medicine. A little later, it became an everyday drink, just like it is today. Most people, especially in our country, he cannot imagine breakfast without a cup of tea.
The largest producers of tea today are undoubtedly China and India. It is believed, that this drink comes from Asian countries.
Tea is made of camellia leaves and buds. Parts of this plant are dried. Sometimes they are also fermented, but it depends on the type of tea. The method of brewing tea is extremely important, on which the taste largely depends.
There are many types of tea. Due to its color, the most popular black tea is distinguished, but red tea is also drunk, green, White, and even yellow. Each of them has its own specific taste and aroma. Each also requires a different method of brewing. Fruit teas are also popular, which, outside of the tea leaves, they contain dried fruit, or other ingredients, giving it a unique flavor.
The name tea has become very popular and is often used to describe infusions made from other plants as well.
It is not known when tea first appeared in our country. However, there is evidence of this, that John II Casimir drank it, who mentioned this drink in a letter to his wife. Just like in other countries, also in Poland, at the beginning, tea was drunk for healing purposes. It was used for general consumption in the second half of the 18th century. The price of tea was very high back then, so at first only aristocrats and other wealthy citizens could appreciate its taste.
Today, tea is probably the most popular drink in the world. It is drunk not only at home, but also in special tea houses, that can be found in everyone, bigger city. There you can choose from many types of this drink and enjoy a cup of tea in an exceptionally pleasant atmosphere. Tea is a particularly popular drink in England, where it is traditionally drunk at five o'clock in the afternoon, i.e. five o'clock.
