Eating habits

hamburgerA study of the eating habits of immigrants to the UK has shown, that they ate English dishes as soon as they arrived and only after a few years did they begin to buy their traditional products. The return to traditional products has been treated many times as a return to the so-called. healthy eating, treating all traditionally consumed food as healthy. This food (although often produced under conditions of well-founded concern) it is treated almost as a taboo.
For many people, healthy food is like that, which meets specific religious or ethical requirements. The requirements of a macrobiotic diet are given as an example. This diet is arranged according to the indications of the interaction of yang and yin.
The categories of yang and yin do not fall within a strictly defined scientific principle, but for the adherents of macrobiotic nutrition they are the basis for determining the health of food.
In many regions, especially these, which have centuries of tradition and writings, emphasizes, that healthy food is this one, which the prophet or his disciples ate. Healthy food is also often referred to as the so-called. God's gifts. On the basis of such beliefs, all new forms of food are rejected, e.g.. frozen food, sugar, extract flour, etc.. Religious messages can also be an obstacle in eating certain foods after yourself.
It is recognized, that healthy food can only grow above or below the ground. Another form of recognizing healthy food is the criterion of permissibility of consumption during the period of e.g.. posts, holidays etc..
An example of the results of research on green peas is given. Most of the consumers ruled, that the peas are "healthy", which looks beautiful green, it has a glassy sheen and is not wrinkled. Another was defined as "unhealthy", with a color different than expected.
It turned out, that a beautiful looking pea is this one, which was dyed artificially, with chemical preservatives. The authors of the experiment concluded, that we like to find such colors in food, what we expect, and we do not accept these, which naturally, obtains food during the preparation of dishes without chemical intervention.
