Sausages in red wine

Sausages in red wine (proportions on 10 people)

1 kg of sausages, a bottle of dry red wine, 5 a dag of butter or oil, a cup of biscuit crumbs or crackers (unsweet), thyme, marjoram, bay leaf, salt, pepper

Slice the peeled sausages into slices and brown in melted butter. Transfer to a plate, and in the same fat fry the cracker crumbs, pour wine and cook over low heat, covered by 10 min. Then add spices and salt, put in sausages and simmer together 10 min. Serve with boiled rice or with slices of bread.
